We are a family business based in Pretoria East, which has been providing food to Hotels, Restaurants and mines for the past 10 years.

The new-normal presents numerous exciting challenges and the first thing which we all agree upon is the importance for South-Africans and local communities to support each other. Being in the supply industry, we took the opportunity to research the potential and play a role by supporting small to medium enterprises within our own community. We were surprised to find so many superior products being manufactured under our noses. This actually left us ashamed to have only supported the large corporate suppliers during the past few years. It soon became evident that households can also benefit immensely if we create a platform where products are distributed directly from these small businesses, straight to the pantry. Since the full circle is kept in our community the name “onse-mense” explains it all.

Each supplier is personally visited to carefully evaluate the selection of the products to ensure that we deliver the highest possible quality. Hygiene and food safety is obviously the highest priority and we evaluated our suppliers to verify compliance of standards and procedures..

Our fresh meat products are supplied and delivered by farmers in the Bapsfontein area who own their own feedlots and abattoirs since 1969. Processing and aging are done on our site at N4 Gateway for your convenience. Our facilities are of a very high standard and meet all the health and safety regulations. Over the past few years, our meat products have been thoroughly researched to meet our clients’ needs, including numerous 5 star hotels.
